How to pay 50 contractors in 10 countries in one batch — without a spreadsheet of wire confirmations
The monthly payout that used to take a finance lead two days: what it looks like as a single Storspay batch, from CSV to "completed", including the lines in USD, GBP and EUR.
Here is the payout a Storspay customer ran last month, anonymised: 52 people across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Sri Lanka, plus three contractors who wanted dollars. Before Storspay it was 55 wires, two days of a finance lead's time, and a week of "has it arrived?" emails.
Step 1: the CSV
One file, one row per person: name, country, amount, and either the amount currency (USD or local) or both. Recipients already saved in Storspay are matched by name or ID; new ones are added from the same file with their account or wallet details. Rows for the three dollar contractors have their US bank details and the payout method "USD bank".
Step 2: the review screen
Every line shows the USD amount, the local amount at the mid-market rate, the channel Storspay chose (M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, SPEI, PIX, bank), and the fee — 2% on local-currency lines, from $5 on the USD lines. Lines above a per-transfer cap show how many transfers they will become. The footer shows the total, split by currency fees and bank fees, and the single debit to your balance.
Step 3: confirm
Rates are fixed at confirmation. The batch runs in parallel: mobile-money and real-time-rail lines complete in minutes, bank lines the same business day. Each recipient gets a notification from their own bank or network. You get one "completed" when every line has been confirmed, and a downloadable statement that matches your ledger line by line.
What changed for the finance lead
- Two days became twenty minutes. Upload, review, confirm.
- 55 wire fees and 52 unpublished spreads became one 2% line and three $5 lines. On US$61,000 that was about $2,400 a month back in the business.
- "Has it arrived?" stopped. Completed means the local bank confirmed it.
Things worth knowing
You can fund the batch in USD, CAD, GBP or EUR. A batch can be scheduled to run on payday. Recipients never need to sign up for anything. And the same account collects from customers in those countries through payment requests, so the balance you pay from can be the balance you were paid into.

Who this is for — and who it is not for
Storspay is for businesses, and a sole trader counts as one. If you are a freelancer or sole proprietor trading in your own name, you open a business account of the sole-trader type. You can be paid by companies abroad, and you can pay other businesses on Storspay — including other sole traders — for work they have done for you.
What Storspay is not is a personal money-transfer service. We do not open personal accounts, and every payment has to be a business transaction: an invoice, a contract, work delivered. Money to family, gifts and personal transfers are not what this is, and we would rather say so now than at verification.
